[at-l] mental preparation



I am also preparing for the hike - but how? I look at it this way: Every
day is not going to be a "walk in the park". The same way you don't quit
your job when you have a bad day, stop going to a restaurant after a bad
meal or not talk to a friend after a fight is the same way you make it
though a bad day on the trail. I feel that the best way to prepare for
the hike is to accept, from the start, that there are going to be lots
of days that you do not want to go on - but when you do there will be a
day that is that much better because you did. There is an adventure
around every turn - don't stop now.
