Let me second the motion for people to write letters, using the convenient form
appended to the story.

 Two thoughts.  The parts of New Jersey through which the trail passes is truly
 beautiful.

 While covering environmental affairs for a newspaper in Maine I frequently
 quoted people claiming that if some law or other were not passed "Maine would
 become just like New Jersey." When I walked through the state in 1993, I felt
 like apologizing.

  MOre importantly, when I clicked on the URL I got an error message. I could
  get through only by cutting and pasting the address.
