[at-l] Informal poll - fate of Scott Farm

It seems to me that $30k to renovate four or more buildings is cheap
compared to the cost of new construction. Unless there are facilities
that are available and will cost less for continued maintenance than the
Scott Farm, I would vote to remove the lead paint and keep the present
base.

The $30k is not an unreasonable sum and the Trail community has raised
that kind of money before so I believe if the request is made and the
case clearly presented then the funds will be forth coming from friends
of the AT. As for on going maintenance of the Farm, it seems that some
equatable arrangement can be made with the NPS.   Hopeful.
