[at-l] Informal poll - fate of Scott Farm

I am not familiar with the lay of the land, but the fact of the paint
chips weathering for decades implies paint in the surrounding soils.
That has implications for the ground water and drainage - especially
since the house is in a flood zone. Lead affects us grownups also, just
not as dramatically as children. Dust from the lead paint can be
inhaled. Most of us old enough to remember tetra-ethyl lead have been
exposed to more lead than is considered a good idea today. It causes
mental problems, but I can't recall them right now.

It is a real problem. I would suspect that siding could be replaced on
a house, but out buildings would probably have to be taken down
eventually. A farm without outbuildings ain't much of a farm.

Bill...
<gosh, that problem is on the tip of my tongue. what was the question?>
