[at-l] Hiker Hints---



I gave up on Backpacker, when they were caught avoiding bad reports on their
major advertisers.

Their pictures of some tents being tested by groups contained tents by some
big names that they did not report on in the write-up.  When called on it,
they claimed that they had not included the items in the write-up, because
the manufacture had said it wasn't for those conditions.  They claimed that
they had just taken it along to see how it worked, but it wasn't fair to the
manufacture to report the results.  Yeh.  Right.

If I want to know about equipment, I check the WEB sites that don't rely on
money from those they claim to be reviewing.  YMMV
