You're right! The first Ruck (Harper's Ferry) was Jan 97. In May 97. Gutsy & I thru-hiked the Laurel Highlands Trail in PA, and that was my first long hike. Wouldn't have had the nerve to do it were it not for the Ruck. The rest is history... Cheers, Navigator (Ruck historian, of sorts)
