Most ski areas now have baskets or containers or racks where one can store
equipment, skiis, bags, and other personal belongings. They charge $2 - $5
per day with unlimited access to you stuff. Some one could makes some money
offering such a service at trail days. It would require a person to be on
duty 24 hours a day to watch the gear. Could be stored in a large truck,
school bus, large tent with temporary wooden rack. It could make a great
fund raiser with a practical service to the hiking community and it would
discourage that unpleasant part of large gatherings.
