I liked having camp shoes--In the winter, I used a pair of walmart bedroom
slippers that had a plastic sole. Very cheap, and very light. It is nice
to give your feet a rest from your all day shoes-especially if they are
wet, or if you have a bunch of blisters. Plus-quick and easy on and off to
make those night time bathroom runs (no pun intended). At first, my fellow
hikers laughed at my slippers, but soon a couple of my buddies bought them
too. When it warmed up, I switched to walmart sandles (teva knockoffs).
Much lighter and cheaper than teva.

I met 1 guy who only had sandles. They were really nice "running"
sandles that provided a good bit of support.
