When I was hiking in 2000, I most wanted to meet Belcher, who was a good
friend, but whom I'd never met in person. We finally met in Vermont, and
that was a pretty big deal! Of course, there is always my fantasy that
Harrison Ford (as Indiana Jones, of course) will show up on the trail and
find the thru-hiker smell to be the ultimate aphrodisiac, and ... OK, so I'm
a dreamer!
