[at-l] Unemployment Thru

it IS fraud!

One of the requirements for drawing unemployment is that you must be
actively seeking employment, and, must provide a list of at least 3 contacts
each and every week you get a check. Granted they seldom check. but it
would constitute fraud against taxpayers if you were caught. If you were on
a thru hike you'd have to have a buddy at home mailing in your weekly report
who would be equally at fault.

If you were looking for professional employment, you could carry a laptop;
take Monday off each week to search the internet and newspapers and fax/mail
resumes. list your cell phone number and carry it with you ON & OUT so that
you could do your phone interviews from the trail.
