[at-l] Re: (at-l) Leeches??? (and Roaches)
Kelly,
Big smile here! I lived in Ft Liquordale, (well actually Plantation (Go
Paladins!) but that's simply a matter of crossing the street) for nine
years as a kid and I remember the huge Palmetto bugs. After I moved back
to Michigan I couldn't believe what people around here called roaches,
"Those tiny little things??? Those are just oversized pillbugs."

I can tolerate almost anything: big bears, rabid dogs, alligators, snakes,
spiders, mice, rats, fire ants, slugs, drunk men with bad slobbery breath,
even leeches.... But one thing that I cannot, WILL NOT tolerate are
roaches.
I hate them. I can't look at them. I can't watch them on the TV, If there
happens to be one in the same room I'm in, I will leave said room until
someone goes in there and kills it.
Also, I have a larger problem (literally) because here in Florida, we have
a
type of roach that is HUGE!!!! It's called a Palmetto Bug, but it should
be
called ugly a**ed flying scary mother you-know-what. I mean, it's the size
of
a small hand, and these things FLY!!!!!! Oh my God. I have nightmares
about them. I hate them. I wouldn't care if every last one were wiped off
the planet. One about the size of a coffee cup landed on my shoulder once,
and I did that screaming, yelling, flailing arms and legs dance thingy till
the thing flew off of me, and I have nightmares about that TO THIS DAY!
Give
me leeches over roaches any day.
Kelly
