[at-l] Plan B - the rest of the story



Hmm...

My AT hike resembled your PCT hike.  1999 was a drought year on the AT.  I 
think I had only 6 days of rain until I got to Maine on my AT hike.  Then 
all bets were off.  We had a no name storm that dumped 7" of rain one day 
and a week later, Hurricane Floyd came through and dumped 10" of rain on us, 
stranding us for three days at Horseshoe Canyon Lean-to.  Ugh!

Might have been similar this year on the AT, too.  (But, it's not something 
I would count on for the AT.)
