All these posts about going solo and first times and things that go bump in
the night has me...hey, you folks have got such dirty minds!...has me
thinking that some of you might enjoy reading my trip report of the first
night I spent camping on the AT in 1998.  It's full of the above.  It's
called "My Night In The NY Woods With an Appalachian Elephant."  I could
post it here. It's about 18 pages long.
