Which of course, aside from being unsightly, might conflict with your
neighborhood association's rules.
Already being hiker trash, you don't want to stir up more trouble.  It only
take one weekend to fix your gate (or fence, or gutter, or whatever) and
does wonders to keep your neighbors from complaining about the tent in your
front yard...
