It wasn't actually Three Ridges that kicked my butt - it was taking the Mau 
Har trail to make it a loop.  Now THAT trail made me swear it would be my 
first and last backpacking trip.  Of course, hiking is kinda like childbirth. 
 Time erases the memory of the pain and all you remember is the wonder and 
magic - otherwise we probably wouldn't keep doing it :-)
