Is this a go, a set thing?  Will it be ok with your wife, if we all gather in 
your room at the Lodge? 

I'll bring the beer!  

By the way (and my last on this), NOC is Nantahala Outdoor Center, in Wesser, 
NC, not Fontana Dam.  It's an awesome facility right on the trail and the 
river with an available (and free) community kitchen/meeting room.  It also 
has bunkhouse for those on "hiker budgets", along with rooms and cabins for 
those that aren't.   

I think you hiked through here, maybe not.


I know time is short, and those from Florida and Atlanta will be 
inconvienenced an additional 2 hours travel time, but in my opinion it's 
probably the best facility and the best setting (that counts), on the trail 
in the south for you you know what...

Having it on MLK weekend will be a great help, where ever you decide.
