Just correcting a typo.  The AMC web site is www.outdoors.org (not  .com)

While I am at it, for those of you who are not already familiar with it, the 
most active local website for the Whites is:
http://www.lexicomm.com/whites/

They have good reports of trail conditions, among other things.  While I 
don't spend much time at the website, it seems like they have a whole lot in 
common with AT-L.  In addition to their common bond of the woods and hiking, 
they seem to have a real sense of community and every now and then get 
together in the mountains.
