[at-l] tin can stove

My son and I made our own alcohol stoves ( 8 so far ) we have had good luck
using 1/2 inch "hardware cloth". ( Some of them have had X's cut out to
make it 1 inch H'cloth.) It is usually easy to find at hardware and/or
building supply stores. We have been using diagonal cutters to cut them to
size. The rough edges hold to the table and pot well but tear up anything
nearby. We plan to use MSR type windscreens. We have yet to take any out in
to the woods yet, but, our in house tests are very encouraging,
Mac-n-cheese, Lipton noodles & Just water for hot chocolate and/or freeze
dried. Definitely THE stove for solo light weight trekking.
