I haven't carried chair, but I have carried a fold-up stool. My back does not take kindly to siting with my legs straight out in front of me and was happier carrying the stool. I think it weighed less than a pound. It did not have a back, but it was especially nice in camp. If we were mostly staying in shelters, I didn't take it because they give something to sit on. Vcat
