Jim hit it on the head.

If ever there is a subject where YMMV, it is the subject of fuel consumption
and stove weight comparisons.

For lots of burn time (read as melting water, lots of cooking, etc.) both
the higher BTU of white gas (or a butane/propane mix) and the stove's
efficiency come into play.  The weight of the stove, itself, is offset.

OTOH, the weight of the stove becomes the determining factor when it is not
used very much.

You need to work it out for your style of cooking.
