It's near Hampton, TN on Dennis Cove Road, the first road south of Hwy 321 at 
Wautauga Lake. The trail crosses within about a mile of the hostel.  I think 
the road is about 12 trail miles south of 321 and about 40 north of Roan Mtn. 
I didn't look up the mileage so that's a guess from memory.

That puts it near Johnson City and Elizabethtown, TN, and Damascus, VA.
