Hey!!  I resemble that remark.  Only I was stuck 7 miles south of Monson for 
three days.  Blech!

NOTE to this year's thruhikers...  If you get to Horseshoe Canyon Lean-to 
between the east and west branches of the Piscataquis River and it starts to 
rain.  Leave and get across the other branch before the rivers rise...  (Oh, 
and if you must camp at the confluence of the east and west branches, camp 
up the hill if it's raining).  Glub, glub, glub...
