[at-l] Re: planning

Well, if that's not a lot...

I'd personally not bother with WF's book and go with the ALDHA Companion. Actually, I'm not sure I'd
take the companion on the hike with me (I haven't in the past). I'd leave it in the bounce box.

If you're planning maildrops you need to box things up.

I'd consider giving someone close to you at least a vague itinerary.

Make sure you medical insurance is current and will remain so throughout the hike. Maybe have a
physial before you go to be sure everything is OK (if you haven't had a tetnus shot in ten years
maybe you should update it; if you haven't had chicken pox yet you should ask about a vaccination
for that - the adult version is Nasty).

If you expect to use your credit card see if they have some sort of auto-pay system where they can
automatically widthdraw funds from your bank account. We wouldn't want your credit to go south on
you.

Make sure there is someone who can tend your stuff while you're away. Someone the storage people can
call in case of trouble.

I'm leaving things out. But, others will fill them in. I see I have a hundred posts to read through.
