I'm glad I read on before posting the same info :O) The Library at Daicey
Pond is one of the little gems on the AT. The porch has several rockers, and
a wonderful view of Katahdin, even better than the one from Abol Bridge
because you can see how the AT climbs up the Hunt Spur. With binoculars you
can watch the climbers, loons, moose, and swallows. There are rental canoes,
and a dock to sit on and rest your tired feet. The National Geographic is in
a lucite box to protect and display it. That issue shows up on eBay for $2-3
every now and then.
