 Bag Balm and Vasaline are flammable?
 Use a wind screen, and a tight fitting lid on your pot, and the esbit works 
fine for boiling water. I use heavy tinfoil, from baking pans, to make a wind 
screen and toaster. I never use my MSR or Zip, I'm very happy with the Esbit.
