thruhiking with the various AT guides does for you...

Got compass...  buried in pack, of course...  (it's multi-use though as it 
has a mirror) but even so, I don't need it...  I do know how to figure 
direction based on time and sun...

Stitches, GAME99, PCT200?  (What do you think?  Will the PCT be as 
accomodating?)  I could really get lost on those switchbacks...
