[at-l] Water, Flagyl

Hi Gang,

	I have almost finished takeing a dose of Flagyl, the usual cure for
water borne parasites. After 27 years of drinking the water from creeks
and springs along the way from GA to ME, but mostly just hiking in VA. I
thought I had finanaly sucumbed to some bad water. 
	My diarhea lasted about 16 days, gettting better at times and worse at
others. I was still able to work back to back 62 hour weeks. I felt a
tiny bit weak but kept shoveling the food in,,, and out. This didn't
seem like the Giardia I have seen in others manifesting itself
violently!
	So I went to the doctor. They did a CVC blood test, nothing found. The
Doc prescribed Flagyl to be takenen after I gave a stool sample.  The
results of my stool sample came back today with nothing found? 
	For those of you who really are and those that pretend to be doctors on
the internet, what sort of meanies do they look for in a stool sample.
My problem cleared up after a couple of days medicaton. I am almost
finsihed with my prescription.
	Now I worry about haveing my system cleaned out of all those good
things that have protected me over the years and let me drink the water.
I am using an inline filter now though. By the way I had drank water
from spring near Campbell shelter at Catawb area. The area suspected of
Norwalk Virus infections with flu like symptoms I think.
