[at-l] at-online

Well there seems to be some renewed interest in at-online.
We've got some folks signed up to save me from the horrors of html!
And someone willing to do some writing and research!

Not to take anything for granted, I was wondering if any
of the folks who were interested last spring are still interested.

Plus, we need some input as to what ya'll think would be useful.

Personally, as a founding member of gearheads anonymous (hi Richard <g>)
I'd like to see something about gear.....maybe gear reviews?
Like Phil's really top notch stove comparison or a place to
make all the great non gear type gear discoveries that we've shared
easy to find? And the stuff about how to use a leki? Geeesh....
I didn't have a clue? That stuff will always be available in
the AT-L archives but it can be hard to find these gems if ya
don't know what query to query.
Anyone interested in being Gear Editor?

And since we're all addicted to journals, and some folks really
like a turn key journal sight, I guess we could do that too, but
I'd like to have a section for the trip reports of section hikers.
Anyone willing to dig up their journals and kick in some trip reports?
Or organize the effort?

And before anyone even thinks of calling me out on this.......
Yes....this will be a website filled with other peoples prose
and effort but if we ever get to the point where the number
of hits would make advertising an option, the money would go to
the TRAIL...not my mortgage. Maybe the land acquisition fund?
Dunno....but I don't think we need to worry about that for awhile <g>.

OK...that's my speil..We have folks ready to build the bones. It's
up to you all to put some flesh on it. Whatcha got that we can use?
Whatcha wanna see there?
