[at-l] listers on the pct

felix has been kind enough to put up some photos of listers hiking the pct.

after a big july 4th bash at sonora pass where ellen and i fed 15 hikers
over 3 days, i spent a few days at castella (where the PCT crosses I-5 just
south of Mt. Shasta in N Cal) july 22-26.

i met jim and ginny owen in mt. shasta city where they were getting new
shoes (the ones ginny mentioned were turning jim's feet to hamburger).  took
them back to the campsite at castella, grabbed some monster burritos on the
way, and hung out at the picnic table chatting for the afternoon.  they are
in great spirits, but both have feet problems.  they're just walking through
them.  jim's pretty sure he broke something in his foot way down south.
they just called and left a message from seiad valley (near OR border)
yesterday, sunday.  it's 100+ degrees there, and they have a big climb out
of the klamath valley today.  should be in ashland later this week.

weathercarrot is fairly cruising along at 25-30mpd or more.  he is hiking
with laura again (they hiked separately for a while north of yosemite).
also with them for the time being is ed, whom i met at sonora pass.  they
came into castella sunday.  on monday we went to mt. shasta city for grub,
groceries and e-mail at the library.  then a movie in dunsmuir, and laundry
and pizza after.  i cooked them a sausage and egg breakfast the next morning
to send them on their way.  they probably got into seiad valley late
yesterday, or maybe today.  WC has been trying to catch the owens for a
while now.
