At the ALDHA spring steering committee meeting at Blackburn Center, we
had beautiful weather Friday night and Saturday morning, rain all
Saturday afternoon, and snow all Saturday night. Woke to a couple of
inches on the cars - gone by 11:00 though.  We thought about the
thruhikers - farther south, but much higher.  Snow in April is pretty
typical though - even early May can get some good storms. 

Anyhow - a good time was had by all.  PATC hosted us with their usual
generosity and warmth.  We had a lot of fun and even transacted a little
official business. One thing I enjoy about ALDHA - anyone can show up at
the steering committee meetings and put in their two (or even twenty)
cents.  Everyone has a voice, even those of us who don't have an official
vote.  Didn't even disagree with any of the votes.  Both John O and Beau
were there, in their official capacities.  The Gathering will be a good
one - good entertainment and lots of good workshops.   Hope we're back in
time.
