I know that Bear's Den Hostel has an upright piano. It was in decent tune 
last June when my friend Antonio (aka. Zorro -  who I would say he is 
thru-hiking the AT though he is certainly not doing it in a traditional 
fashion or likely to complete it within a calendar year) sat down to play 
a couple tunes.

And Bear's Den is just about at the halfway point so you'd get a good 
piano fix right in the middle of the hike.
