Re: [at-l] WF, et al

good point bug - I think we done been trolled....

and for those who think others have been 'mean' to WF, i'd recommend
hanging out on his list for 2.5 years and then we'll see if you feel the
same way. I stayed on ATML until a few months back because there was
often some good info on there, but I stopped reading posts by WF well
over a year ago - unless I just couldn't help myself. Invariably, when
I did, it would stir me up negatively - he puts out a lot of negative
energy and his bitter diatribes against any who disagree with him
directly just got to me after a while. I can have respect for a free
flow of disagreeing ideas shared in a respectfull manner, but I never
saw him display any respect for someone else in these situations. I'm
not sure if he still posts these types of attacks on the list anymore -
he may have started just sending them out privately so you may have no
idea what I'm talking about. Disagreements on AT-L never stoop to the
hurtful personal level that they do on ATML.

This isn't WF bashing, just my personal opinion and experience on ATML.
If someone is going to set THEMSELVES up as a public figure, then they
have to accept that they cannot control all discussions about them nor
have any right to expect others to only talk about the good stuff. If
we don't talk about the negative leadership qualities of those who want
to lead us, we are just little lemmings walking off the cliffs. My loss
of respect for WF wasn't caused by what anyone else said, but by his own
actions and words. For me, it was very sad as I started out having a
very high opinion of him and for what he was trying to accomplish.
