Wsplt,
Tremendous point. With all the "load control" straps and power-squish stuff sacks and triple-sewn lap seams, it's amazing to me how many "experienced" hikers suffer the pendulum weight of a half-empty container. This goes *double* for the ultralites who suffer grandly to carry the lightest pack weight, and then rehydrate a sloshing dinner for half a walking day. Hello? Newton? Is that you?

jsut make sure you fill the water to the top of the container or it will
slosh aroudn and make your life a living hell. the mass of all that water
shifting and sloshing is almost enough to knock you on your BUTT
