[at-l] Ruck stuff

Hi all!

We were the early birds that left at 6am, good thing too, the snow really started up withing 15 min. It quit by daybreak so it was a quick drive back to Dayton. I apologize to the gentleman I asked to go wake my husband up. I hated to miss the blueberry pancakes at 8am. I'll plan to stay later next time!

We sure did enjoy the presentations. The  light-weight backpacking tips - great information and the "Stone Soup" was delicious! I hope some of you got to read the "original" stone soup recipe stuck in with my picture album. The auction was awesome and I love my calander. I really didn't think they made stoves that small. I caught some of the slide shows and what I didn't catch, John told me about. Thanks for the great company and the opportunity to introduce ourselves.
I enjoyed the RUCK immensely and look forward to seeing all of you folks next year!

I did promise some of the ladies this recipe so here goes.....I hope this isn't a no-no.

Broccoli Cole slaw salad:

1 pkg broccoli slaw mix
1 sm. purple onion
2 ribs of celery (chopped)
2 pkg ramen noodles (chicken flavor)
Dressing:
2/3 cup olive or canola oil
1/3 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 pkg of chicken seasoning from noodles

Mix cole slaw mix, onion. celery and ramen noodles (which have been crushed) in a large bowl. Make dressing and toss.
It is better if  you make it several hours ahead (or overnight) before you serve it, so the noodles will be soft.

Enjoy!
