Re: [pct-l] Slow training-swimming

Late response about swimming - My knees were giving me problems when I first 
started hiking.  I began swimming for my knees - think I have arthritis in 
knees, toes, fingers, shoulders.  Now I swim (slowly) 1/2 mile minimum about 
3 times weekly.  The only joints that continue to bother me are my fingers.  
When I missed a week of swimming, I could already feel my knees starting to 
wobble.  Amazing.  It has been really helpful for me.
