Per the 4th Edition of The Pacific Crest Trail Vol 1 by Schaffer, Schifrin,
Winnett, Jenkins (Ruby) - Sections F & G "A man in failing health due to his
age was responsible for a freeway accident that took the life of J. C.
Jenkins, the former author of these sections.  Jenkins mother, Ruby,
assisted by his father, Bill, assumed the field work and update of his work
to honor his memory."
