Thank you so much for sharing your experiences.
The boot issue - would starting out with a well sized boot have been enough
or do you now
recommend lightweight footgear only.  Have you found a shoe with good
traction?
The heat issue - When did you leave Campo?
The tent - what would be an acceptable weight to you now?
Please tell me more about the bowl at Idyllwild.
