They probably don't see a viable market for such a book. I've been told that they even lose money on the PCT guidebooks, and only publish them because Winnett likes the trail and wants to provide a public service.

Because there is only a small area of the country where habituated bears are a problem, there would too small a market to recover the setup costs.

OTOH, you may be able to interest Garcia, or Gio Enterprises in offering the books for sale with their cannisters.
