Hi, I'm new to this list & haven't received any messages yet, so
I really don't know what people are talking about.  Anyway, I'm
planning a thru-hike in 1999.  I have a zillion questions (and
hopefully a little wisdom to add), but I'll start with this one -
Any thoughts on how "la nina" is supposed to affect the snowpack
in the Sierra this year?  What was it like last year?  Could I expect
the "opposite" of that?
