[pct-l] PCT idea of the day

Just a thought here. What would be wrong if the first person across a
raging stream on the PCT tied a rope from one side to the other for the
health and safety of future crossers? They could be taken down at the end
of snowmelt season by rangers or by other hikers. Imagine how much safer it
is crossing while holding a line.
