[pct-l] A resupply trick

    Here's a trick I discovered for resupply points like
Idyllwild and Wrightwood that are several miles and several
thousand feet away from the PCT.  Hide any gear you won't need
in town just off the trail.  Why carry your tent and bag into
town if you won't be spending the night or will be in a motel?
Obvously it's best to hang your stuff to keep animals out of it.
And don't forget that the weather may change while you're away.
But it sure is nice to carry a nearly empty pack into town.
