There is nothing wrong with Logging along the PCT.
There is nothing wrong with horses on the PCT.
There is nothing wrong with lugged boots on the PCT.
There is nothing wrong with many other activities on the PCT.
What is wrong is a population of 240 million people and only one
PCT, Grand Canyon, or Yellowstone.
The competition and bickering for use of the PCT will only increase
as our population increases.
A reasonable number of rats (people) in a cage (country or planet ) can
but as more are added at some point the rats start attacking each other.
