[pct-l] SNOW & MAIL DROP, SOUTHERN WASHINGTON (Wind River Ranger District, Gifford Pinchot National Forest)
SNOW & WATER REPORT, PCT in SOUTHERN WASHINGTON: As of Friday, May 16,
there is still snow on the north slope above 3000'. The rivers are running
near flood stage with this warm weather.
DROP IN AT THE Stabler Country Store 22 Hemlock Y Road, Carson WA 98610,
phone 509 427-2717. Summer hours: 9A.M. to 7 P.M. 7 days per week. 1 mile
down Wind River Road from P.C.T. crossing. The store will also ACCEPT AND
HOLD PACKAGES FOR BACKPACKERS. A good place to have ice cream and there's a
public phone.
