Report from the trail:
Well, Dennis started on May 10th, as planned, two other hikers were on
the bus (Myles and Dale, or Bill, sorry can't remember). Dennis is having
a rough time, is more out of shape than he thought, and the heat and
elevations are very difficult. He's missed the trail a couple of times, one
time he thought he was on a short cut, but lost 4 hours, finally he has
made it to Mt. Laguna, where he was informed the two hikers ahead of
him arrived, but their food hadn't! He has seen many drug trafficers,
once 25 people stole through his campsite at night. He had some
difficulty with water, but two Mexicans gave him some.
