Re: [pct-l] Pack Volumes

hey bob, looking forward to seeing you out there. I just met a few more
hiikers starting around may 10 today at work. one is also named Jeremy, ugh.

about the transport to campo, call the pcta and get the phone numbers for the
shuttlers so you won't have to arrive so late in the day.

gear wise, could try an ensolite pad over the thermarest, though they are
very comfy! a monocular instead of binoculars. axe the polarguard jacket.
externals are great. great ventilation, carry well, but noisy and may scare
away wildlife!
axe the tube of toothpaste and put in a reusable container and load up at
resupply points. no ace bandage, use bandanas. only need 2 of those, i like
one light colored, one red for possible emergency flag. Won't need cutters
for awhile, unless that's your tick protection, but loose clothes would work.
don''t forget Preparation H! 50' of cord, instead of 100. no spatula and swap
dromedary bag for basic REI water bag that's 2.5 gallons and much cheaper.
soak stuff in a ziplock or 2, instead of bottle.
pop bottle instead.

hope this helps. I know i need it!
jeremy
