[pct-l] PCT hiking history

I'm reading "A Pacific Crest Odyssey" by David Green about his 1977 
PCT hike. He mentions some other hikers, The Kelty Kids, Monty and 
Strider. He even says that Strider "registered a 43 mile day in the 
central Oregon Cascades". So I guess they were telling the truth, they 
really did hike the trail that year!  ;-)
