LOL!~
I doubt we'll EVER get Bill to go Ultralight!
But what will do it is a month on The Trail... I bet after a few weeks of 20 mile days, `ole Bill will shed that K-bar!

You the man. Now all we have to do is get Ground Pounder to
convert. He can still carry the K-bar of course. In case you
didn't know, I will be hiking with him starting on May 17th from
3 points on Hwy. 2. Tentatively we will stick together until
Kennedy Meadows. It looks like the Sierras are going to have
just as much snow this year as last year. In that case my plan
of starting from Kennedy around June 5th is quickly going down
the crapper. Bye

Yeah, Pete's an animal.
I'm getting a new ULA pack!!!
Can't decide on which one, though. Either the Circuit or the Conduit...
They're a lot like the old P1 and P2.
Between the Lunar and the Circuit, I'll cut over 6 pounds off my base weight!

I'm scared. Hey I went up and worked on the trail by Mt. Laguna with Pete Fish and the Trail Gorillas for two days. He is incredible. He is 78 and there is no way for me to keep up with him. Bye.

This weekend isn't happening for the hike. I'm actually free, but I didn't know that until yesterday.
If you're still interested, I'll let you know when I can make this hike happen.
