I had a jet buzz over my camp at 1,000 Island Lake, streaking over the lake 
by 50 feet and then going nearly vertical to miss Banner Peak.  This was back 
in the 70's and ruined the quiet of the area and pissed off every backpacker 
there.  The noise was amazing.
