[pct-l] Southern California Bashing

The Southern California bashing-thing always makes me chuckle. People tend to think of Southern California as "LA"; let us not forget that it is much bigger than LA alone and that, according to PCT Guidebook, it takes nearly 700 miles to leave it. Do this on foot and you'll know just how big Southern California truly is.

Besides, LA is not just in California...it is everywhere.

I recently relocated from Boulder, Colorado (a Los Angeles suburb with LA type of traffic) to a much quieter spot in Southern California. Not only have I increased my quality of living---a subjective thing I suppose---but I am that much closer to the trail I love. Oh, and as Strider initially pointed out, it was nearly 80 degrees again yesterday. My goal this winter: to surf and ski in one day!
