[pct-l] Hammocks for the PCT?

I'm not a sleeping hammock user, but...

As for the "cold" issue, check out <http://www.jacksrbetter.com/>...
They make down comforters and quilts designed for hammocks...
I'm thinking of getting the either the "Shenandoah" or the "No Sniveller" 
for an UL summer (ground) sleeping arrangement...
Might be other cottage industry suppliers offering similar...  try Google...

For the lack of hanging opportunities, I believe Roni said that he only
slept on the ground 3 nights total...  Same as many other needs, one
must plan ahead of time on where to possibly camp...  in the desert, one
may have to stop 'early' because you spot a suitable location to hang... 
You may lose the "drop and stop" flexibility, but that is for you to decide...
